Simon Heffer, the eminent, outspoken and prolific historian and journalist will introduce ‘Sing as We Go’, the last volume in his series of four books about the history of Britain from 1838 to 1939. He began writing this series in 2014 and it comprises ‘High Minds’, ‘The Age of Decadence’ and ‘Staring at God’. The final volume, which has already been named a History Book of the Year by the Daily Mail and earned a five-star review from the Telegraph, is an overview of the political, social and cultural history of the country from 1919 to 1939, and contains pen portraits of the era's most significant figures.
